Peter Perryman welcomes you to Marginal Notes!
Until February 2015 I was working in communications for a municipal government department—writing, reviewing and editing internal documents—and producing publicity material for public education and awareness campaigns. But I wanted to expand my involvement with other forms of print and to concentrate on my own writing and editing skills. I left my job, and Marginal Notes is the result.
I have a B.A. degree in English from the University of Sussex, a long-standing familiarity with corporate and business communications—particularly healthcare and environmental issues—and a personal interest in contemporary fiction, medical humanities, religion, and language. I am a member of Editors Canada and follow the Professional Editorial Standards set by them.
Move to Chapter Two to read about some of the roles and responsibilities of an editor.
